OUR SUSTAINABLE YARNS

FSC Certified Viscose from Bamboo

Bamboo is the fastest growing grass in the world (it can grow up to 119cm in just 24 hours)! It is one of the world’s most sustainable resources as it does not require replanting. It also has inherent antimicrobial properties, which eliminate the need for pesticides and fertilisers.

Bamboo viscose is a regenerated cellulose fibre, providing exceptional comfort, breathability, as well as antimicrobial properties.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE ONE OF VERY FEW TO USE FSC CERTIFIED BAMBOO.

WHAT IS FSC?

The FSC certification is the world’s gold standard ensuring sustainable forest management and forest-based products. 82% of consumers would recommend FSC products to friends and family.FSC is the only forest certification with support from global NGOs – such as WWF – and markets.FSC brings 25 years of expertise in sustainable forest management.

GOTs Certified Organic Cotton

  • Cotton has been protecting people from sun, rain, heat and the cold for thousands of years.

The term organic cotton means it is grown without the use of toxic pesticides or fertilisers that are proven to harm the environment, farmers, producers and the consumer.

Organic Cotton is a healthier, more eco-conscious alternative to non-organic materials.

ALL THE COTTON WE USE IS ORGANIC AND GOTS CERTIFIED.

Tencel™ Lyocell

Soft, durable TENCEL™ lyocell comes from wood pulp that is dissolved in a nontoxic organic solvent before being turned into fabric.

TENCEL® is a branded lyocell fibre that comes from the pulp of trees. The solution is extruded through fine holes to produce fibre and the solvent and water are recycled in a closed-loop process — more than 99% of the solvent is recovered and reused.

TENCEL™ lyocell can be used in place of other regenerated cellulose fibre such as viscose rayon.

The benefits of using TENCEL® lyocell include the traceable and sustainable origin of the wood pulp, and the use of a closed loop solvent and water recycling process. In addition, TENCEL® lyocell is a high-tenacity cellulosic fibre, which gives high strength properties to the fabric.
